The Role 

Join the team that creates PlayStation development tools used by thousands of game developers, testers, artists, and producers to make every PlayStation game.

Working in the Target Management Tools Team, with experienced colleagues, you will play a fundamental role developing and improving our host tools including our Target Management suite, Remote Viewer, Memory Analyzer profiling tools and our push to bring these tools and more to the cloud.

The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to continue to learn, to develop and to explore ideas; to demonstrate strong design and coding skills, and, above all, have a passion for quality.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Analysis of customer requirements to produce maintainable designs.
  • Develop and deliver work to schedule.
  • Participate in code and documentation reviews.
  • Provide estimates for tasks.
  • Provide input to technical writers producing documentation.
  • Work with support engineers on customer issues.

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

  • BSc in Computer Science.
  • A good academic background is beneficial, however an ability to demonstrate relevant experience and capabilities will be of equal merit to academia.
  • Strong C/C++ skills gained in a commercial environment.
  • A solid understanding of software testing techniques including writing unit tests.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Have

  • Experience of developing high performance / multi-threaded applications on Windows, Linux and/or MacOS.
  • Experience with other languages including C#, Rust and/or Python.
  • Strong UI / UX design skills.
  • Front-end web development using HTML / CSS / JavaScript.
  • Back-end development particularly using .Net / Blazor / Razor Pages.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, particularly PostGreSQL.
  • Experience with Web Servers (Apache, Nginx etc).
  • Experience developing web-based applications using modern frameworks such as Microsoft Blazor.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Version Control systems (including Git.).

From debuggers and performance analyzers to compilers and target communication servers, our products are designed to make PlayStation developers' work easier and more efficient. We have a deep understanding of game developers' needs and use our expertise to create a range of advanced development tools.

SN Systems is part of Sony Interactive Entertainment's (SIE) Foundational Systems and Experiences Engineering Group (FSEE), which is in turn part of PlayStation Experience Group (PEG). SN Systems has created the programming tools used on every PlayStation home and portable platform.
