Vacancy : Software Engineer, Distributed Build Systems - Bristol

About the role:

The SN-DBS team develops a distributed build accelerator that distributes C/C++ compilation and other data processing tasks across a network of computers.  The software comprises native C++ client and server applications with an embedded HTTP server providing a web UI.

The team develops and tests the software, and provides support for game development studios deploying and extending the system.

The role is for a Software Engineer, taking part in all of the team’s activities. We welcome applications from Computer Science graduates through to seasoned-experts.

 

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software and its test systems, being involved in the design and implementation of all aspects of the system.  You will be expected to become familiar with all aspects of the product and the technologies employed in its implementation.  You will work closely with customers and the Developer Services team to diagnose issues, to understand how they use the system, and to help shape the future of the product.

This is a challenging role that demands the ability to master a wide range of technologies throughout the software stack.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of customer requirements to produce maintainable designs

Qualifications and experience:

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
