The Role

Join the team that develops and tests the development tools used to create every PlayStation game.

SN Systems, part of SIE, offers well-respected industry placement opportunities each year in its software development department. The program is for one year and provides the chance to work at the cutting edge of the PlayStation development tools industry.

What You'll Be Doing

During the year you will spend time working in a number of our teams including the compiler, debugger and performance analysis tools teams. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards new versions of our software tools by developing code, measuring performance, writing tests and analyzing customer problems. You will be mentored by experienced engineers throughout your time with us.

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

  • Competent in writing programs in C/C++.
  • Motivated and adaptable to work in this fast-moving industry.
  • Enthusiasm and good communication skills are essential since all roles involve teamwork.
  • Passionate about software development and keen to learn.

Nice To Have

  • Experience of developing applications for Windows.
  • Competent with a scripting language.

Package

  • Salary - £30,000

We create development tools for PlayStation platforms including PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®VR2. From debuggers and performance analyzers to compilers and target communication servers, our products are designed to make PlayStation developers' work easier and more efficient. We have a deep understanding of game developers' needs and use our expertise to create a range of advanced development tools.

SN Systems is part of Sony Interactive Entertainment's (SIE) Foundational Systems and Experiences Engineering Group (FSEE), which is in turn part of PlayStation Experience Group (PEG). SN Systems has created the programming tools used on every PlayStation home and portable platform.
