Vacancy : C++ Software Engineer, Performance Analysis Team - Bristol

The Performance Analysis team develops profiling tools for all PlayStation® platforms.

You will be responsible for developing new features, improving existing features, and producing tests to validate any changes to the code base. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate strong design and coding skills, a desire to explore ideas and, above all, have a passion for quality.


As a member of the Performance Analysis team you will be primarily focused on the tool backend and target-side code for capturing and processing performance data. This will include

  • Produce maintainable designs and code from customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver work to schedule.
  • Participate in code and documentation reviews.
  • Provide estimates for tasks.
  • Provide input to technical writers producing documentation.
  • Work with support engineers on customer issues.



  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Up to 3 years commercial experience
  • We are happy to consider new graduates

Skills Required:


  • Experience of C++, STL and object-oriented programming
  • Good team communication skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about problem solving
  • Interest in learning about game and console performance


  • Experience of developing Microsoft Windows applications with graphical user interfaces, for example WinForms, GDI, and Win32.
  • Application profiling
  • Experience of COM
  • Cross platform development
